I'm back!!

I've come back from Sunny Florida to overcast, muggy Michigan. Remind me why again?!?
Very good vacation - here's a quick recap:
I ate some really good salads - and drank wine in the afternoon.
Pretty Palm Trees!!!!
Pretty Penny Puppy. Awww.
I wore very large glasses.Sweet Tomatoes - A salad bar type restaraunt. I want one in Michigan!!My cousin Josh (left) and his friend Chris. We played some beer pong to celebrate Josh's new apartment.Cereal/Granola/Yogurt/Nut/Peanut Butter/YUM mix. Breakfast was usually eatten outside in the warm sunshine of Orlando, Florida. Here is where I hung out a lot of the time - swinging and reading.Went to a place called "Cracker Cafe" - they had a salad named after me!It did not dissapoint!
I maybe indulged a little too bit at times......Pretty gardens in St. Augestine. And of course my wonderful family that we stayed with all week (cousin Ryan, Aunt Erma, and Uncle Rob).Me and my dad - enjoying our second to last day there. This was at the Cheesecake Factory.
Dont know how soon I'll get back to regular posting - but rest assured that I am back, safe and sound at home!!

Wednesday April 29

Wednesday definatly felt like a Friday - what with not having to work and all. ^.^

I started the day with the last of my Optimum Blueberry cereal, maple pecan granola, Oiknos blueberry yogurt, toasted pecans, flax seeds, and dried strawberries mishmosed in a bowl and some green tea.I set off to do some errands along with my lovely travel companion... (this is a teddy bear of Kari's that she was getting rid of - much to big to fit in my already overcramped room - but the perfect company for car rides).I also took a banana along for the ride.I did a TON of errands, and when I got home I was starving. I had a perfectly big perfectly tasty salad with lettuce, tomato, cuke, carrot, and tofu with Greek dressing. I also had some whole grain toast with laughing cow cheeeese. For lunch dessert, I had some of my homemade granola bar with cranberries & dried kiwis. Mm.I ran some more errands, starting packing, blahblah, and then headed over to Jason's. We stopped at Subway before the game, and I ate my chips in the car.How I love Comerica park!! It was, however, freeezing cold. Welcome to Michigan. I can't wait to go to some summer games!Me and Lady in the bleachers... (Notice the giant parka, lol).I ate my sub during the game. Roast Beef & American cheese with all the veggies (except jalapenos), mustard, and a touch of light mayo. The Yankees kicked my poor little Tiger's butts. Nick Swisher had a 3 run home run and then a solo shot later in the game, so it's okay. (Nick Swisher is my boyfriend.... lol). We left in the 7th inning stretch because it was cold and (ironically) went to Baskin Robbins for 31 cent scoop night.

I got the sf Caramel Turtle Truffle in a sugar come.Lady wanted to be on the blog. "What's a food blog??" HI JASON! I'm packing stuff up for Florida and catching up on Lost from last night. I'm not sure how my blogging is going to go - I'm not going to blog while I'm gone, and I don't know if I'm going to remember to take pictures of EVERYTHING, so it'll probably be a quick recap when I get back.

Loves! See you all in a week!!

Tuesday April 28

Breakfast was some green tea, pumpkin muffins & pumpkin butter, and some hardboiled eggs/eggwhites. Banana on the way to work.
My last day at work... and the sweet, kind, sTellaR people at my work got me a basket of goodies!!!
Detroit Tigers gear, Dark chocolate covered raisins, Dark chocolate peanut m&m's, Reese's, Dark chocolate covered Almonds... (Obviously they know what I like - dark chocolate and the Tigers!)

Strawberry Guava body spray & lotion, French Vanilla Party Light Candle, pretty picture frame, and a Chunky bar (peanuts + fruit + chocolate!). I'm reall going to miss those guys - and after today I feel so loved and apprecaited. My mom called the office to see how I was doing. It was a very emotional day for me, but I'm grateful for the experience I had working in that office and will carry the memories with me forever. *tear*
I ate my lunch in my car, even though it was a touch colder today than it has been. I needed to get outside. Green Giant veggie mix (snap peas, red peppers, roasted potatoes, rosemary butter sauce), whole wheat couscous, garbanzo beans, and goat cheese.
I also took a picture of me - because I was feeling extra geeky and photogenic.
Back in the office, I brewed up some Rooooobiosssss tea. (lol).
Dannon Yogurt with a slice of dried Kiwi. YaY dried kiwi!!! (Sorry - just randomly in a good mood.)
After work, Dave Jones and I watched the first inning of the Tigers/Yankees game. Yet another thing I'm going to miss about Schoolcraft - hearing about Dave's fantasy baseball team every day.
Home and dinner. Whole Wheat bagel with homemade 'hummus', veggies, and soy pepperjack cheese. I didn't have a tomato, and I needed something, so I added a few thin slices of apple. I wish I had added more - it definatly made this sandwich!!
I finished watching the Tigers game (GIANT disaster, my poor sister is at the game, she says she's about to start getting violent and punching people in the face) and now I'm just kind of hanging out at home.
I really need to start getting packing for Florida - two more days!! I've pretty much designated tomorrow as a 'get shit done' day. Jason's coming over around 6pm and we're heading downtown for the Tiger's game!! Ah, how I love Comerica. And my favorite 'lady' (Jason).
It's a little weird to not have a class/job to go to for a little over a week - I feel kind of wide open. But in a good way!! Kristy needs the time off for rest & relaxation.
Speaking of rest.......... I think I'm going to put myself to bed.
lOvE.

Thursday April 23

Today I am 23 1/4 Years old!!!!
I need to figure out how to make some of these pictures bigger....

Breakfast = Optimum Blueberry cereal, plain yogurt + homemade pumpkin butter, Pecan granola + extra pecans. AAAnnnndddd green tea.Class (one full class left!) then to work.
Banananananana.
I ate my lunch in my car because it was such a prettypretty day outside - and I must say the lighting was much more favorable for pictures. My sandwich was very photogenic, lol. Wholewheat pita with sundried tomato hummus, garbanzo beans, cuke, tomato, carrots, lambs lettuce, and goat cheese.
Back to work... did work.... made a 'Holy Mackerel' sign for Doris after she fished some goldfish out of our 'pond'.

Green tea.
RubyRed Grapefruit. I wasn't hungry, just bored, and instead of going to the candy dish (see it there in the background?) I stole someone's yogurt.
After work I met up with my Mom, Aunt Sandy, and brother Erik at CiCi's pizza for my friend Tracy's Relay For Life Fundraiser event. I got to see her and chat for a little bit about this and that - we hardly ever get to see each other anymore!!
She's going into Nursing and is verrrry nervous. I'm thinking maybe after I finish my Medical Assiting program I'll go back for Nursing - it's good to have a friend that I know I can go to for advice!!

I wasn't too hungry seeing as how I just had my snacks right before I left work, but I was able to eat myself a pretty nice salad. Here it is with the vegggies, croutons, and Ceasar dressing. I ended up adding some plain pasta and then had a small cup of pasta salad. Kristy needs her carbs.
"Wait there's brownies?!"

It's not the prettiest picture ever, but it was major fudgy (just how I like it). Not a fan of the powdered sugar, and it coulda used nuts, but chocolate is chocolate. ^.^
Afterward, I chatted more with Tracy and then toddled over to the Bulk Foods store next door. I think I've found my new favorite store. Even though I was stomach-ache full (not sure why - I didn't really eat that much?) and at first I felt a little sick at the thought of more food, I eventually filled my arms with goodies.
These pictures do NOTHING justice - I'll try to find a way to make 'em bigger - but for now I need to find bed. I've got to be up vryvry early for a 6:30am-1:30pm Panera shift tomorrow.
Somewhere in there are dried strawberries, dried kiwi, dried mission figs, carob raisins, carob peanuts, yogurt raisins, and oat bran.

Okay kiddies - SLEEP!
